Homebuyer Education

The Homebuyer Education program is available at no-cost to potential homebuyers in Southwest Washington State. The intent is to provide a seminar learning environment, followed by one-on-one direct counseling to assist potential homeowners through the home-buying process.

The seminar consists of a State and HUD approved six-hour informational format provided by real estate, mortgage, and industry professionals. The goal of the seminar is to provide a general comprehension of the steps and progression to becoming a homeowner.

The one-on-one counseling is provided by HUD-certified counselors that will work directly with the potential homeowner to answer all questions to insure that they are confident in their financial decision. This service is provided at no-cost to the homeowner and is paid through State and Federal grants designated to developing sustainable homeownership.
